About this walk
Bentley Priory Nature Reserve covers 170 acres of ancient woodland, chalk downland and open grassland on the ridge above Stanmore, managed by the RSPB and Harrow Council. The 4km Ridge Circular takes in the main woodland blocks, crosses the open chalk grassland on the southern slope with its wide views across the Harrow Weald, and loops through the secondary woodland on the eastern fringe. Dogs are welcome off lead throughout the reserve.
