About this walk
The Mutton Brook is a tributary of the River Brent that flows through a green corridor from Mill Hill to Hendon. The 5km circular follows the Mutton Brook linear park from the Brent Cross end upstream to the Hendon Park boundary, circuits Hendon Park's open grassland and returns via the brook-side path. The brook corridor is a narrow but genuine green ribbon through a dense suburban area and dogs can access the water at multiple points along the bank. Hendon Park is a 30-acre park managed by Barnet Council with off-lead access in the open sections. Brent Cross Underground station is 10 minutes walk from the southern end.
