About this walk
Monken Hadley Common is 243 acres of ancient common and woodland on the northern edge of London at Barnet, one of the very few places where genuine open common land survives within Greater London. The 6.4km circular from Hadley Wood station links the common with the adjacent woodland of Hadley Wood itself, passing the ancient hornbeam woodland and the open heath of the common's northern plateau. Dogs are off lead throughout both the common and the woodland.
