About this walk
Parliament Hill to Kenwood is one of the classic Hampstead Heath dog walk routes, a 7.5km loop that takes in the best of the heath's open, wooded and ornamental sections. Starting from the Parliament Hill running track entrance, the route climbs Parliament Hill for the famous London panorama, crosses the open heath to the East Heath, passes the bathing ponds and enters the formal grounds at Kenwood Estate. Dogs are off lead throughout the open heath and woodland sections. Kenwood estate grounds are managed by English Heritage; dogs are permitted off lead in the grounds but not inside the fenced formal garden. The Kenwood cafe is dog-friendly outside on the terrace.
