About this walk
Harrow-on-the-Hill is one of the few genuine hills in the London Basin, rising to 408 feet and giving views from the Chilterns in the north-west to the Surrey Hills in the south. The 6.5km circular from Harrow-on-the-Hill station climbs the hill through the conservation area, passes the churchyard of St Mary's at the summit, descends through the old town and follows the green network via Pinner Road Open Space and Roxbourne Park back to the station. Dogs are off lead in the open section of the hilltop and on the Roxbourne Park paths. Roxbourne Park in South Harrow has a brook-side path and the Roxbourne brook is accessible for dogs.
