About this walk
This 4km circular links two of Highgate's most atmospheric green spaces. The route circles the perimeter of Highgate Cemetery (dogs not permitted inside the cemetery) along Swain's Lane and Chester Road, then enters Highgate Wood for a full inner circuit of the ancient oak and hornbeam woodland managed by the Corporation of London. Dogs are required to be on lead on the roads around the cemetery and in designated wildlife zones within Highgate Wood.
