About this walk
Highgate Wood is a 28-hectare ancient woodland managed by the City of London Corporation in north London. The 2.5km trail loops the perimeter of the wood and weaves through the interior on a network of earth paths through sessile oak, hornbeam and holly. Dogs are welcome off lead throughout the wood. A dog-friendly cafe at the main gate entrance on Muswell Hill Road is a favourite post-walk stop.
