About this walk
Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens together form a 630-acre Royal Park complex in central London. In Hyde Park, dogs are permitted off lead in the open grassland areas; in Kensington Gardens, dogs must be on lead at all times. The 6.5km North Loop Walk enters Hyde Park at Marble Arch, follows the north edge of the park, loops the Long Water above the Serpentine, enters Kensington Gardens and circuits the north section back to Lancaster Gate. The Serpentine is accessible for dogs in Hyde Park on the east bank away from the lido. Lancaster Gate Underground station is 5 minutes from the western end.
