About this walk

The 7.5km linear from Canbury Gardens to Ham demonstrates one of the finest town-to-country Thames-side dog walking sequences in London. Starting at Canbury Gardens in Kingston, the route follows the Thames towpath south past Kingston Bridge, continues through the riverside meadows of the Ham section and ends at the entrance to Ham House. Canbury Gardens is a formal riverside park where dogs are off lead and welcome. The Ham riverbank is one of the best Thames-side grass runs in the greater London area, with clear river access. Ham House is National Trust and dogs on leads are permitted in the grounds.
