About this walk
Roundshaw Downs is a 53-hectare Local Nature Reserve on the former Croydon Airport site in Wallington, Sutton, with wide open chalk downland grassland on the remains of the 1930s runways. The 5.5km circular links the downs with the green corridors of Bandon Hill, following the perimeter of the former airport. The open downland is flat, well-drained chalk grassland with long sight lines. Dogs are off lead throughout the reserve. The wildflower chalk grassland is at its best from June to August.
