About this walk
St James's Park and Green Park are adjacent Royal Parks in Westminster, forming a continuous 90-acre green corridor between Buckingham Palace and the Mall. The 3.5km circular combines both parks, starting at the St James's Park lake, crossing the bridge over the ornamental lake with its pelican colony, following the Mall to the Green Park boundary and returning through Green Park's open tree-lined avenues. Dogs must be on lead in both parks as a Royal Parks rule. The setting against the backdrop of Horse Guards and Buckingham Palace is unlike anywhere else in London.
