About this walk
The Thames riverfront between Surbiton and Long Ditton is one of the quietest Thames-side dog walking stretches in London. The 6.5km circular uses the Thames towpath south from Surbiton station, passes through the riverside village of Long Ditton, loops through the open ground of Seething Wells and returns along the residential riverside path. Seething Wells was the site of two major Victorian waterworks that supplied drinking water to south London from 1852. Dogs are off lead on the towpath and in the Seething Wells open area. The river bank has grass access for dogs at the Seething Wells section. Surbiton station is 5 minutes walk from the start.
