About this walk
Victoria Park is the largest open space in East London, a 213-acre Victorian park in Hackney that was opened in 1845 as London's first public park created for the working classes. The 5km Full Perimeter and Lake Walk uses the outer ring path of the park, takes in both ornamental lakes on the western section, passes the Chinese Pagoda and the dogs off-lead area on the eastern meadow. Dogs are permitted off lead only in the designated off-lead area in the north-east corner of the park; the rest of the park requires lead. The lake has bank access on the south shore where dogs can enter the water. The Crown Gate Cafe on the western side is fully dog-friendly.
