About this walk
Wimbledon Park is a 15-hectare open space and lake in the London Borough of Merton, adjacent to the All England Lawn Tennis Club grounds. The 4km Perimeter Walk circuits the park lake, follows the footpath alongside the All England Club boundary fence, crosses the open sports ground of the Wimbledon Park Sports Centre and returns via the western boundary path. The lake is a designated watersports lake managed by Merton Council, with dog access at the grassy south bank. Dogs are welcome off lead in the open park sections alongside the water. The park cafe near the lake entrance is dog-friendly on the outside terrace.
