About this walk
Wormwood Scrubs is a 180-acre Local Nature Reserve in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, a large flat open space managed for its acid grassland and scrub habitat. The 5.5km walk combines the main scrubs open space with the adjacent Little Wormwood Scrubs to the south, using the perimeter track and the internal paths through the scrub sections. Wormwood Scrubs is one of very few genuinely large flat open spaces in west inner London and provides open-air free running that is hard to find in this part of the city. Dogs are off lead throughout both spaces. Harlesden Overground station is 15 minutes walk.
