About this walk

Sutton Park is a 2,400-acre National Nature Reserve and Site of Special Scientific Interest in the Royal Borough of Sutton Coldfield, one of the largest urban parks in Europe. The 8.5km Longmoor Valley and Bracebridge Pool Walk enters the park at the Town Gate car park, crosses the open heathland plateau, descends into the Longmoor Valley wetland section, circuits Bracebridge Pool which is the largest of the park's seven pools, and returns via the birch and oak woodland on the eastern ridge. Dogs are off lead throughout the park outside designated sensitive areas. Bracebridge Pool is accessible for dog swimming from the grass banks on the western shore.
